The Florida Legislature passed the "Move Over Law" to protect Police Officers, Fire Fighters, EMT's (Ambulance) and Tow Truck Drivers from being struck by motorist.
If you see on of the above listed vehicles on the side of a multi-lane road, you must move over one lane if possible.
If you can't move over or if you are on a two lane road, you must reduce your speed by 20 miles per hour under the speed limit.
If the speed limit is 20 miles per hour or less, you may not go by at a speed greater than 5 miles per hour.
Florida is now enforcing the "Move Over Law"
