| Proper Procedure for Straight in Parking |
The "Straight-In-Park" is a required maneuver.
1) Stop your vehicle near the road edge.
2) Align the outside rear view mirror with the closest traffic cone.
3) Give a left turn signal.
4) Look for traffic that may be passing you.
5) Without moving turn your steering wheel all the way to the left
6) Slowly enter the parking space and straighten your vehicle so as to center it in the parking space.
7) Make certain that your vehicle is all the way in the parking space without passing the traffic
cones to the front and that the rear in of your vehicle is not extending onto the travel portion of the
roadway.
This is a 5 point maneuver.
