Stopping at "Stop" Signs with Stop Bars and without Stop Bars

The STOP BAR is the wide white painted stripe  
that crosses half of the street in front of your
vehicle.                    

                 FIGURE # 1
If the stop bar is behind the stop sign, then stop
behind the stop bar.

If the stop sign is behind the white stop bar, then
stop behind the white stop bar.

If there is no stop bar, then stop behind the stop
sign
